Bradley P. Ryder
Brad moved to the north Alabama area in 1978. In 1989, he received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration degree, with honors, from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. While at UAH, he was on both the President’s List and Dean’s List. Brad was employed the entire time he attended UAH, earning over 80% of the cost of his tuition, books, and related expenses.

While in law school Brad was a Law Intern for the Honorable Edward S. Smith, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He also worked as a Summer Associate / Law Clerk for Bell, Richardson & Sparkman, P.A. and Wilmer & Shepard, P.A.
After graduating from law school, Brad began practicing law in Huntsville with the law firm of Wilmer & Shepard, P.A. In February 1995 he left the firm and began his own office. Brad is admitted to practice in all courts in Alabama, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He has successfully tried over 100 cases, both jury and non-jury, in federal and state court.
Brad is an active member of the Alabama State Bar and the Huntsville / Madison County Bar Association. As a member of the Madison County Volunteer Lawyer Program, he volunteers several hours of his time each year to assist, free of charge, indigent individuals who would otherwise be unable to hire an attorney.
In 2010, after completing a comprehensive written examination, being reviewed by other attorneys and judges before whom he has tried cases, and providing proof of his trial experience, Brad obtained the designation of a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is one of only 3 attorneys in Huntsville / Madison County who maintains this certification.
Brad has an AV rating (highest available rating) with Martindale-Hubbell, the nation’s oldest and most well-respected directory of attorneys. This achievement is an indication of how other attorneys and judges evaluate both his technical skills and ethical standards as an attorney.
Brad is also a Lifetime Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a designation reserved for attorneys who have obtained one or more judgments or settlements in excess of $1,000,000.00.
In addition to his active trial and litigation practice, Brad also serves as a mediator in assisting parties to resolve their disputes, while avoiding, or at least minimizing, the time, expense, and uncertainty associated with litigation and trials. Brad has successfully mediated numerous complex cases. During his legal career Brad has participated in well over 100 mediations. He is registered on the Alabama State Court Mediator Roster and handles both trial and appellate mediations. Brad also is listed on the Panel of Neutrals for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
Brad is actively involved in the Alabama Association for Justice (ALAJ) and the American Association for Justice (AAJ), being a member of the AAJ’s:
